For the millions of Americans who have OA, research offers the best hope for permanent relief.  The American Arthritis Society is proud to promote:

(1)  Osteoarthritis Research:   In partnership with the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF), the AAS funds OA research projects at leading hospitals around the world.

(2)  Scientific Meetings:   To encourage quick and efficient sharing of new research findings and treatment techniques among even more physicians, we also support scientific meetings.

(3) Training:   Meeting the growing challenge of OA will require more and better-trained joint specialists.  That's why the AAS supports efforts to encourage top students to enter the field and help them achieve their research goals.
